MUSIC AND BEYOND
MAKING MUSIC
Carrying a lifelong devotion to music, Raihana began playing acoustic guitar at age 12 after receiving one as a birthday gift from her mother. Inspired early on by Green Day, she turned to songwriting as both refuge and release—using music to navigate personal upheaval, her migration from Homestead, Florida to Trinidad, and a deep love for writing nurtured since childhood.
After years of performing at school showcases and local venues, Rai Hana established herself across Trinidad’s live music circuit, performing regularly at lounges, restaurants, concert venues, and events. She released her debut single Outta My Mind at 22, followed by her 2020 EP Alive, becoming the first solo female alternative artiste of the decade in Trinidad to release an EP. Tracks from the project received national radio rotation and remain in play today.

In 2024, she released Love Me and Vilified—the latter becoming her most popular release to date—alongside her first music video directed by award-winning Trinidadian filmmaker Michael Mooleedhar. In 2025, she appeared as an extra in Live Nation Productions’ upcoming Green Day film New Year’s Rev. Now working as a full-time musician, Rai Hana continues to release original music with the goal of connecting deeply with audiences while evolving as a writer and performer.

RADIO
Receiving her BSc in Management Studies with an undeclared minor in Marketing (Hons) from the University of the West Indies in 2017, Raihana knew she wanted to utilize her education to further her love of music. After winning a radio competition to attend the 2014 iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas, Trinidadian radio station 95.1 the Best Mix took an interest in her voice and offered her training to begin her journey as a radio announcer. She quickly jumped into the radio world and began her career as an announcer. After a 4 year radio hiatus to complete her education, in 2018 she began working as an announcer on Heartbeat Radio 104.1fm Radio for Women where she hosted a daily radio program Matters of the Heart from 2018 to 2023. She is now skilled in the areas of broadcasting etiquette, interviews, telecommunications software and advertising and while she is not presently employed with a radio station, she continues records voice overs and advertising content.

EVENT HOSTING
Having years of experience with Public Speaking, conducting live shows and being considered a public figure, Rai Hana also has experience with hosting. In 2016 she co-hosted the event ‘Made for This’ featuring US Pop star Jesse McCartney. Today she continues to host private and public events, concerts and partakes in panel discussions within the music industry.
